THE STANDARD OF THE BREED

On beginning let´s start with introducing typical representatives of the breed, on whom you can see evident dissimilarities in comparision with other breeds.

These are horses of outstanding type and at the same moment of correct conformation.

The first of them is the stallion 935 Yulduz (697 Gelishikli-1158 Gul), golden bay, born 1962, who is considered to be the ideal prototype of Teke by many breeders up to the present day.

The second is the stallion Gench (Murgab-2210 Gulgadam), born 2004 at the studfarm Stavropol in Russia. Gench is thought to be the best breed´s representative born in last 15 years. He won the title of World Junior Champion in 2006 in Moscow, year later he became the World Champion among adult stallions.
